A lo largo de nuestra vida diaria, parece que siempre estamos preocupados por algo. Las cosas en nuestra vida sobre las que no tenemos absolutamente ningún control parecen sacar lo mejor de nosotros y simplemente comienzan a rompernos. La preocupación hace su daño tanto interna como externamente. Lo que no entendemos es que preocuparse no tiene absolutamente ninguna virtud. Nunca ayuda a la situación, solo empeora las cosas. La palabra "Preocupación" en realidad proviene de una palabra raíz en inglés antiguo que significa estrangular. Como dice Warren Wiersbe, "La preocupación estrangula la vida de nuestro interior". Cuando nos preocupamos, tenemos dolores de cabeza, dolores de cuello y ni siquiera podemos funcionar bien y mucho menos pensar bien.
La palabra de Dios nos dice que le demos nuestras preocupaciones porque Él se preocupa por ti. Dios quiere que confiemos en Él en todas las cosas. Su deseo es darnos una paz que sobrepase todo entendimiento. Quiere darnos un gozo inexpresable. La preocupación es el mayor ladrón del gozo. Para superar la preocupación, necesitamos la mente de Cristo. Ayúdanos Señor a mantener nuestros ojos fijos en tus promesas y no en las circunstancias y condiciones que están fuera de nuestro control.

What we fail to understand is that worrying has absolutely no virtue. It never helps the situation but only worsens things. The word “Worry” actually comes from a root word in old English which means to strangle. As Warren Wiersbe says, “Worrying strangles the very life out of us.” When we worry we get headaches, neck pains, and we can’t even function right let alone think right.
God’s word tells us to cast our cares upon Him for He careth for you. God wants us to trust Him in all things. His desire is to give us peace that surpasses all understanding. He wants to give us joy unspeakable. Worry is the greatest thief of joy. In order to overcome worry, we need the mind of Christ. Help us Lord keep our eyes fixed on your promises and not the circumstances and conditions that are out of our control.
